Your Role
As a Hope Homecare franchisee, you will operate an office in your own territory and act either as a registered care manager, or employ one to carry out that role.
Whatever path you choose, you will be responsible for hiring high-quality carers to meet the needs of your local community – be it through the local healthcare trusts, or for private clients who engage your team’s services directly.
If you are from a care background, you may already be registered and accredited by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). If not, this is something you will need to do very soon after opening. It can be a long process, but we are here to help. Fortunately, there are some basic levels of care that you can provide ahead of accreditation, meaning your business can start trading right away.
How long it can take to go from new franchisee to providing care for your first service users can vary a great deal depending on how quickly your CQC registration takes to process, and how quickly you can negotiate your first contracts. Public contracts, in particular, are notorious for operating very much on their own time scales!
However, demand is very high for the kind of service you will be able to provide, and many of our prior contracts have been fast-tracked in the past for this very reason. Based on our own experience, you can expect to start delivering at least very basic services within 6-8 weeks of joining Hope Homecare.
If you are planning to open in one of the areas bordering our current offices, it is likely that we can pass on some work from our existing partners to you straightaway. Otherwise, we will, of course, be able to share any insights or contacts we have for local authorities and private providers in your territory, and make you an integral part of our ongoing marketing campaigns.
